Umrah
SubhanAllah,Alhamdulillah
All Praises are to Allah
At last i did my Umrah and that too Two ..One frm Dubai and other from Madina.
When i first looked at Kaaba, I was mesmerised by its beauty . SubhanAllah. It was an unexplainable moment. I was completely lost . I’m very grateful to ALLAH that He invited me to His house. Our Umrah was completed within 2 hrs.It was such a beautiful experience.May ALLAH give every muslim an opportunity for this sacred pilgrimage.May ALLAH grant me the chance for Hajj.
Masjid e Haraam , the sacred mosque at Makkah, its so beautiful n peaceful.Once u enter it u wont feel to leave it.I really misss all the days spent there. There is no other work there except for worship.Every act of worship count 1 lakh hasanas(good deeds) in the sacred sanctuary at Makkah.
We were in Madina for one day.The Masjid e Nabvi(The Prophet’s Mosque) is an architectural wonder, a beauty not seen any where else, its sliding ceilings are a real wonder. The peace u feel in Madina is unforgettable.Every act of worship in Masjid e Nabvi count 1000 hasanas.
I treasure all these days spent in Makkah and Madinah and pray for a second visit InshaAllah.
Rise Oh Mankind!
This is one of my poems with a short and direct message for the rise of the muslim ummah before its too late…
The days go on and on
There is no pause on the time
the days seem long but indeed are short
this is what our deeds have brought
“The Hour” is nearing us
no time for fantasies
time to check ourselves
else lift the burden of sins
Sins are easy to gain
goods deeds are too difficult
the satan sings this in ur ear
but, to him give no hear
The minute you have is precious
utilise it for the best
serve the poor and be just
Allah will take care of the rest
Pay attention to the Lord’s words
pray to Him as taught
things will happen as ordained
lest Allah wants it to be changed.
Imaan (Faith)
Herez a short summary of wat is faith in Islam and its characteristics.
Foundation for Imaan is belief in Allah,His Books,His Prophets,His angels,The day of Judgement and Al Qadr(Destiny)
> Imaan increases and decreases according to our actions and intentions
> For a strong Imaan balance in LOVE, HOPE AND FEAR OF ALLAH is required
> “Call upon Him in Fear and Hope”(Al Quran,Surah Ar’af:56)
> Say you ‘If your fathers, and your sons and your brothers and your wives and your clan and the wealth of your earning and the trade of which you fear loss and the houses of your choice, these things are dearer to you than Allah and His Messenger and the struggling in His path, then wait till Allah brings His Command. And Allah guides not the disobedients.(Al Quran,Surah Tauba:24)
> Ways to increase ur Imaan
# Observing Allah’s Commands
#Total and Detailed Actions
#Developing love and fear of Allah
#Remembrance of Allah
#Contemplate the words of Allah and the Prophet (pbuh) while reading
Quran and Hadith
#Remember death which is inevitable
#Doing good deeds openly and secretly
# Self analysis every night before going to sleep
# ask forgiveness for ur sins because ALLAH IS OFT FORGIVING AND MOST
MERCIFUL.
Every person has fluctuations in his/her Imaan but unless we ponder
upon Quran and Hadith and keep ourselves updated with what our Rabb
wants from us , how He wants us to worship him? How can we seek His
Pleasure?…we will never know our sole purpose in this World,ie.,to
worshipALLAH…According to a Hadith of Prophet (pbuh),” When u see
something wrong stop it by ur hands(action), or atleast by
words(tongue) if not atleast consider it wrong in ur heart and this is
the weakest Imaan..
Now the Que arises Which category do we belong to Highest?Middle?
Weakest? OR None of the above?????
In our present society we see many things going wrong before our eyes
and instead of stopping it we dont even feel it wrong at our
hearts….we take it for granted.”Oh yeh to aajkal common
hai …chalta hai … aajkal sab baaton par kaun amal karega…its
better we practise first and then we’ll stop others”….these r some
of the excuses we have with our muslim ummah when asked about dawah or
islaah.
It is the responsibility of every muslim to know, understand and
practise Islam…We just cant wait till some one comes and enquires
something about Islam, instead we should learn to create an
opportunity from any situation we come across for propagating dawah
and islaah by wisdom ,insha allah.
May Allah accept our intentions and works for the sake of Islam and
May Allah help, protect and save all muslims from the oppression of the
Kuffaar. Ameen.
Intro to Islam
The literal meaning of Islam is peace; surrender of one’s will i.e. losing oneself for the sake of God and surrendering one’s own pleasure for the pleasure of God. The message of Islam was revealed to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings on him) 1, 400 years ago. It was revealed through angel Gabriel (on whom be peace) and was thus preserved in the Holy Quran. The Holy Quran carries a Divine guarantee of safeguard from interpolation and it claims that it combines the best features of the earlier scriptures.
The prime message of Islam is the Unity of God, that the Creator of the world is One and He alone is worthy of worship and that Muhammad (peace and blessings on him) is His Messenger and Servant. The follower of this belief is thus a Muslim – a Muslim’s other beliefs are: God’s angels, previously revealed Books of God, all the prophets, from Adam to Jesus (peace be on them both), the Day of Judgement and indeed the Decree of God. A Muslim has five main duties to perform, namely; bearing witness to the Unity of God and Muhammad (peace and blessings on him) as His Messenger, observing the prescribed prayer, payment of Zakat, keeping the fasts of Ramadhan and performing the pilgrimage to Mecca.
Islam believes that each person is born pure. The Holy Quran tells us that God has given human beings a choice between good and evil and to seek God’s pleasure through faith, prayer and charity. Islam believes that God created mankind in His image and by imbuing the attributes of God on a human level mankind can attain His nearness. Islam’s main message is to worship God and to treat all God’s creation with kindness and compassion. Rights of parents in old age, orphans and the needy are clearly stated. Women’s rights were safeguarded 1,400 years ago when the rest of the world was in total darkness about emancipation. Islamic teachings encompass every imaginable situation and its rules and principles are truly universal and have stood the test of time.
In Islam virtue does not connote forsaking the bounties of nature that are lawful. On the contrary one is encouraged to lead a healthy, active life with the qualities of kindness, chastity, honesty, mercy, courage patience and politeness. In short, Islam has a perfect and complete code for the guidance of individuals and communities alike. As the entire message of Islam is derived from the Holy Quran and indeed the Sunnah and Hadith (the traditions and practices of the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings on him) it is immutable in the face of change in time and place. It may appear rigid to the casual eye, in actual fact it is most certainly an adaptable way of life regardless of human changes.
Islam teaches that the path to spiritual development is open to all. Any individual who searches the One Creator can seek nearness to God through sincere and earnest worship; it is central to establishing a relationship with the Almighty. This positive message for humanity fills hearts with hope and courage.
At present there are 1.5 billion Muslims worldwide and they form the majority in more than 50 countries of the world. Today Islam is the fastest growing faith in the world – its beautiful message is reaching millions in the far corner of the earth.
